SELF CHECKOUT COMES TO PUBLIC LIBRARY
Full Description:
The McKinney National Public Library has recently installed a self-check station that allows patrons to checkout materials without the assistance of library staff.
The typical process would be:
a. Patron may choose English or Spanish at the Checkout Station.
b. The patron will be asked to identify himself to the system using a library card.
c. Patron will be guided throughout the transaction process through touch-screen options and a self-check pad.
d. Items successfully checked out will be displayed.
e. Upon completion of the transaction, a transaction receipt will be printed out.
