What is Studio ARThouse?
Studio ArtHouse classes provide students of all ages with an education in art theory and art history as well as the needed skills and techniques to make meaningful two and three dimensional art work. Each student's life will be improved through the art experience. Self esteem, fine-motor skills and overall scholastic achievement is improved through art education.
All ArtHouse teachers hold college or university degrees in art and are passionate about sharing art with others. Currently it is our privilege to serve three communities (Flower Mound, Coppell, and McKinney) with an Art House and in addition to share partnership programs with multiple private schools and other educational facilities.
Studio ArtHouse, Inc. was founded in 2000 by Kathleen House and daughter Jennifer Rogers of Flower Mound, Texas. Both women hold art degrees from Texas Women's University in Denton, Texas. Each has a dedicated philosophy to encourage the artist within all of us through quality art instruction and meaningful art experiences, and both are working artists in a variety of media.
The McKinney location is managed by Molly Goodall. Goodall moved to the Dallas area two years ago from New York when she married her husband, who moved to Texas from London, England. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Parsons School of Design in New York in 1997. She is an award winning artist who works primarily in watercolors and oils, particularly known for her photorealistic watercolor technique. She taught Studio Artist and adult classes at the Flower Mound ArtHouse in 2004 and 2005, until moving to McKinney in April of 2005 to open the new location.
