PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE (The Mckinney Area Newcomers Social Club is an informal gathering of people new to this area. We help you make new friends and find resources in your new community.
The club meets on the third Tuesday at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 5871 West Virginia Parkway, McKinney at 10:00 a.m. for morning coffee. Monthly meetings include a speaker or program of special interest.
Guest Speaker for August will be Michael Landauer the lead editorial writer for Collin County for the Dallas Morning News.
There are many interest groups that meet every month. Some of the current interest groups are Bridge, Bunco, Euchre, Game Night, Canasta, Day Trips, Lunch Bunch, Garden Club, Sit-N-Stitch, Birthday Bash, Recipe Exchange, Dinner Out, Lunch Bunch, Bible Study, Book Club and many more.
Prospective memebers attend up to two meetings and receive two complimentary newsletters before joining. Membership dues are $25.00 annually. Members receive a name tag, a monthly newsletter, annual directory and have unlimited participation in developed interest groups.
